THE UNFATHOMABLE LOVE!!

THE DAY THAT CHANGED HIS LIFE!!!

Vinoth Suryanarayan hailed from Karnataka. His life was void of vacuum. A handsome house to live, a reputed convent to study, caring friends, loving parents, he didnt lack anything. His life was complete, content and satisfied. Until one fine day.............

A cruel accident made him bid adieu to his parents. The same hands that held his parents close a day ago, were  persuaded to burn them. To burn thier corpses into ashes...........

It happened when he was 13 years old. Now Vinoth was in his sweet sixteen. His maternal aunt had brought him to Chennai to live with her. His uncle and aunt were all honey with him. Anything that he asked, was granted. They had a lovely son, Sujjit, who was a clement too. But, still his life lacked something...............THE LOVE......the genuine love that he would see in the rosy eyes of his mother, the genuine love that he would feel in the tender kiss of his father, no longer existed. And he craved for it. He yearned to taste that  love which was complete, content and satisfied in itself.

The best part of  his current life were two humans.

1) Siddharth, his beloved pal, with whom he would share his joy, grief, feelings, emotions......... everything, every damn thing! Siddharth and Vinoth were the thickest friends one would ever find. Sid knew everything about Vinu.

2) Nisha. his GIRL. The girl, who triggered butterflies in his belly. The girl whom he thought, would give him the love that he craved for....... the love that was complete, content and satisfied in itself. Though he dared not to walk upto her and tell her,  his feelings, he simply admired her. The way she walked, the way she talked, the way she caressed her hair....... Oh! it was so wonderful!

Vinoth had spent hours talking about Nisha to Sid. " Dude, she's my life" he would say.

One day, he went for a stroll along the Marina Beach. The setting sun, the splattering blue waves and the pampering breeze brought back memories of Nisha. The girl whom he thought, would give him the genuine love that he had lost three years ago.

Suddenly, his eyes caught something.........something that shook him. His heart broke into a hundred pieces, and each piece then broke into tens of thousand pieces. He thought it would be a nightmare, and he would wake up startled. But, hell no! it wasn't! it was 'THE REALITY!'.

Sid and Nisha were walking hand in hand, with an incandescent smile litting up their faces. Vinoth saw them transfixed. His face unvieling nude shock.

Very soon, Sid noticed him too. Sid's eyes were blank for a second. And then his lips smiled, a wry smile. Soon, he continued talking to Nisha as if nothing had happened.

Vinoth forgot to breathe. He couldn't believe what Sid was doing to him. "YOU CHEAT!" he wanted to yell, yank him from Nisha and punch his belly hard. But, he didn't. Instead, he turned around and walked towards his house like a lunatic, completely oblivious of that which was happening around him.\Cyclists, bus drivers and car drivers abused his nonchalance. But, Vinoth's ears were muted. He din't hear a word.

He reached his house, went to his room and bolted the door behind him. He couldn't believe what a LOSER he was. He had been BETRAYED. He had been CHEATED. He was UNLOVED.

Vinoth wanted to cry aloud.......... loud enough to awaken his parents from the dead, but din't. He thought tears were a symbol of cowardice in one's heart and he was definitely not a coward!!!

Suddenly his mobile beeped. It was a message from Sid. He opened it.

'sry dude............ i loved her too :/'

He could no longer constrain his tears. It came bursting out like air from a balloon. He felt devastated. He cried and cried, weeped and weeped. There wasn't one soul to hear his cry.......no, not one soul. He felt deserted, lonely and abandoned. He wished to end his life.

Suddenly, involuntarily, his mind drifted back to the days, he had spent in the convent, in Bangalore. He remembered his teacher telling him, "Jesus loved us so much, that he died for us on the cross".

"Jesus? does Jesus really love you Vinu?" he queried himself. But, his heart was so saturated with sour experiences that he dared not to believe it.

"No, NOBODY in this world loves me", he cried. What if  Jesus cheats him like others? He had no strength to bear anymore disappointments.

Suddenly, he heard a voice, a still small voice that he knew not from whence it came.

" I was stripped to clothe you with honour, I was bound to set you free, I was mocked at  to give you glory, I stooped down to lift you up and I gave my life to give you life".

It took Vinoth several seconds to digest every word he heard.

"Still, you think I don't love you,Vinu?", the voice queried. And then he heard it no more.

Vinoth was not himself. Every word he had  heard was so full of agony that he couldn't believe his mind had faked it.

"Je...Je........Jesus.......",he gasped. there was no response.

"Jesus........ is that really  you?" he gasped again. There was no response.

Perhaps Jesus was offended. Perhaps he is disappointed since Vinu failed to believe him.

His mind retrieved every word he had heard. It was true. Jesus had died for him on the cross. Hundreds of thorns had squished Jesus' brain for his sins. Jesus had drained every drop of blood in his body to save Vinu. Would anybody do this for him? No..... never.....not even his parents. Jesus' love is unfathomable. It is beyond that complete, content and satisfying love of his parents. It is a deep abyss that's depth is never ending. It is much.......much beyond human comprehension.

Vinoth longed to taste that love. Jesus was definitely there.....he had spoken to him. Vinu was not gonna let him go, until and unless he had tasted that 'UNFATHOMABLE LOVE'.

"Jesus.........Jesus.....I need you........I am sorry........please don't forsake me.........the world has hurted me enough.......Jesus please don't leave me.....!", words flowed from his heart of  hearts. Tears ceaselessly poured down from his eyes as he cried with a deep longing for Jesus.

This cry of pain struck his Saviour's heart so fiercely that He could bear it no longer. The almighty Jesus stooped down from his glorious throne and wiped Vinoth's tears with his own precious fingers.

Vinoth saw the hand that wiped his tears. There was a niel print on it. He looked up. It was Jesus, himself. Their eyes met. And there Vinu received the love that he had craved for. The love that penetrated every blood vessel of his heart. The love that chiselled the name 'JESUS' in every cell of his body.

Vinu's heart was stirred. "Jesus" he cried again. With eyes full of love Jesus embraced and kissed him. That day Vinu recieved the love that his parents, Sid, uncle, aunt, Sujjit, Nisha or any other person in the world could ever give him.

Yes my friend, you're never alone. Even when the whole world has forgotten you, just remember, that there are a pair of eyes watching you with unquenchable love, a pair of ears ever ready to listen to your sorrows, a pair of hands willingly waiting to wipe away every tear that trickles down your cheek and a shoulder in which you can lean! All you need to do is just utter the name 'JESUS' from the bottom of your heart and he'll be there for you. For HE says " I have loved you with an everlasting love"( Jer 31:3). And yes it is indeed  true! He will never cheat you!
